Good to know.

Is Varsity Dating free?

Yes. You get 30 swipes a day and can earn more by watching short ads. Unlimited plans (R15 a week or R49 a month) open at launch.

Who can join?

Anyone 18 or older. It is made for students at South African universities and colleges, and the Verified student badge shows who is a confirmed student.

What is the pre-release?

An early version you can use now, before the full launch on Google Play and the App Store in November. Everything you set up (your profile, matches and chats) carries over. If you find a bug, tell us in the app under Me → Send Feedback.

How do I put it on my phone?

Open varsitydating-2026.web.app/app and add it to your home screen, so it opens full-screen like any other app:
Android (Chrome): tap the ⋮ menu, then Install app or Add to Home screen.
iPhone (Safari): tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.

When is the app on Google Play and the App Store?

The installable app starts running after the launch in November. Your account, profile, matches and chats from the pre-release carry over: just log in with the same email or Google account.

Is my information safe?

Your profile is only shown inside the app, your verification details are never public, and you can delete your account and data at any time. Read our Privacy Policy.
